An ephemeral hotel at the foot of the Avoriaz slopes

“FLYING NEST”, the new concept of nomadic and ephemeral accommodation designed by Ora ïto, is established at the foot of the slopes in Avoriaz 1800.

A harmonious assembly of cubic blocks of containers made of TeboPin, the Accord group’s new ephemeral hotel is set up for a winter season at the foot of the Avoriaz slopes, at an altitude of 1800 metres, without altering the natural landscape.

UNUSUAL ACCOMMODATION BUT NOT THAT…

This mobile and unusual accommodation offers all the comfort of a cosy room made of raw and natural materials, and equipped with a modern bathroom, a private terrace, a common living space, and a ski room for mountain equipment.

NOMADIC AND MOBILE

For one year, the project was tested in a pilot phase and the ephemeral hotel was installed in different venues during events in various climatic conditions, such as the Château de Clairefontaine, the 24h of Le Mans, the Bordeaux Biennial of Architecture or the Rencontres internationales de la Photographie in Arles, before joining the largest ski area in the world in Avoriaz.
