De kenmerkende architectuur van het waterpark en het gebogen dak zijn iconische Stratfordfiguren, met zijn strakke, afgeronde, golvende vormen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gebouwd voor de Olympische Spelen in Londen en ontworpen om zich aan te passen aan het schommelende aantal toeschouwers tijdens en na de wedstrijd, heeft het gebouw een zwevende meter: naast de permanente 2.500-zits tribunes langs de zwembaden, zijn er twee tijdelijke 15.000-zits tribunes. Deze twee vleugels bereiken hun hoogtepunt op 50 m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bouw<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

De metalen structuur en het flexibele omhulsel (Serge Ferrari-composietmembraan) worden gedemonteerd en elders hergebruikt. Na de spelen onthulde het watersportcentrum zo zijn uiteindelijke silhouet dat door Zaha Hadid Architects (Londen – GB) in bochten is verbeeld.
Dankzij afneembare vloeren en wanden kan de grootte en de diepte van de zwembaden worden aangepast aan elk publiek, professionals of amateurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TeboPin multiplex werd gebruikt om de structuur van de bekkens en alle stranden eromheen te maken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
