TEBOPIN Plywood direct witnesses at COP 21 negotiations, Paris 2015

The 21st conference of the United Nations on climate change COP 21 will start on November 30th 2015.
At this prestigious building site more than 5,500 m² of Maritime Pine Plywood manufactured by the THEBAULT GROUP are currently being installed for the construction of plenary halls where debates and negotiations will be held between world leaders at Paris le Bourget.

In accordance with Mr Laurent FABIUS’ statement, Chairman of COP 21, “ The world will meet with the future of our Planet at stake” in order to reach an international agreement applicable to all countries with the objective of maintaining global warming below 2°C. This building site which will hold one of the biggest conferences ever organised on climate change began on October 6th at Paris le Bourget and must be completed by the end of November then handed over to the United Nations who will administrate the area during the conference.

Just one month after its start the building site was presented to the Press and to world politicians. Future negotiating spaces can already be identified and highlights the application of TeboPin plywood as a flooring and wall lining material in the construction of meeting halls.
THEBAULT plywood products are manufactured in France and made from PEFC™ certified timber sourced from sustainably managed national forests. Thus they were entirely fulfilling the COP 21 strict specification in satisfying the rules of a short supply chain and a circular economy as prescribed by the French authorities for the organization of this ISO 20121 certified event.
By taking part to this historical site the THEBAULT GROUP reasserts its commitment to preserve the Planet.
